  • Soon to be NBD

I always fancied a Jackson bass but the Yamaha 170 I found, literally in someone's trash(!) has served me well for a couple of years and I didn't see any need to replace it.
Until I saw this on ebay. The fact it comes with Seymour Duncans and all for just £150 made it too good to pass up. Especially after a few beers...

I've now got a Kelly and a King V (6 strings), this will complete the "Jackson Megadeth collection"

What d'you think guys? Any more info on these particular models?

Hopefully get it early next week when I'll take some more pics - these are from ebay.

Yeah. That's the thing - I was planning on upgrading the pickups in the Yamaha but used Duncan bass pickups just don't come up in the UK, and a new set of P/J pups is about £90. So when I saw this for £150 with a set of QPs and a hard case for £150...No brainer eh, considering I always wanted a bass like Dave Ellefson played?

It's here! Not had a chance to play it properly yet, but messed about a little and the intro to "Peace Sells" is much easier to nail cleanly on this than any other bass I've played. Very comfy neck. Here he is with some of his brothers.

All you need now is some shark fin inlay stickers for the bass.

Like the inlay stickers on my Hamer you mean. Still on it!

I don't mind dots on Jacksons if the neck isn't bound. It looks better in some cases.
