  • J2, Double Jazz, Precision Deluxe bridge Humbucker... Whatever you call it, who makes

Recently bought a bass with a bridge pickup of a slightly unusual shape, like two Jazz pickups mashed together. Different companies have called this shape different things (see above) which makes searching for them a bit tricky.

Any idea who might make after market replacements?

    Pic, for reference.

You don't run across those often. I know the Custom Shop can rewind the ones you have, probably for the price of a replacement. Contact them and ask.

Delano seems to have one that's the right shape, but that's the only one I've found so far.

Isn't that the same as the NYC pickup?

Three distinct voices in this passive soapbar bass pickup, from true vintage J bass, to quiet single coil tone, to maximum output and fullness.

Edit: I just noticed the difference in the way yours mounts.

If you have these on your bass, you could always get them rewound, too. Seymour Duncan can wind them for any sound you'd want.
