The other amps I tried in this category didn't sound horrible, but didn't hold a candle to the Ampeg. All class D power sections.
Fender Rumble 500, Traynor Small Block 500, some 500 watt GK Micro head that was $200 more than the others (and was the least impressive sounding).
The Ampeg had the deepest low end of all and really punchy mids. The mid shift knob is nice too.

I've never used the 500. but have used several PF-350s and always loved them.
