  • FS: GFS Strat pickups: '64 Texas Grey Bottom set with guard and pots

These are the pickups (regular leads version): https://www.guitarfetish.com/KP--64-...y_p_21999.html

I got these as a throw-in with a big lot of pickups that I purchased years ago. They were already mounted in a guard with foil lining and the electronics wired up. I have never used them, but they look like they're in great shape. I'm sure it's a nice sounding set for most people, but I don't really like an overwound bridge pickup, so I didn't ever install it.

The wiring looks mostly solid. Looks like it needs a ground wire to the claw. And the ground wire to the jack is not solidly connected, and needs to be resoldered. It has a treble bleed feature on the volume pot. I shot a picture that shows the resistor and cap values.

As I said, I didn't do the wiring, so I can't guarantee it will work. Consider this a sale for the pickups only, with all the other stuff being a free, as-is throw in.

Also, the person who put this guard together didn't use the right kind of pickup screws for a non-countersunk guard. So you will need to countersink the pickup height screw holes in the guard.

There's a soldering iron burn on one of the wires on the switch (and it's on a wire that looks redundant to me).

Plastic was originally white, but to has become a very slightly dingy white with use and age, closer to Fender's parchment color.

Everything could use a good wipe with some cleaner before installing the guard.
I will send you just the pickups, without extras, if you prefer. Same price, though.Asking $50 shipped (first class) to the U.S.A.

Thanks for all the interest, folks. I will take better pix tomorrow. Like I said, this was an old pic I ran across on my computer, which inspired me to post the for sale ad on a whim.

And here are a couple extra pix that wouldn't fit in the OP:
