They are only muddy in the neck position (especially with flatwounds). I put one in a P-bass years ago in the same place Music Man does - sounded killer with roundwound strings. Chunky low mids with no clank, great for rock bassists who use effects. The client was surprised at my suggestion, but loved the result.

It has a mudbucker and a very non gibson shape.

But the neck looks very bolt-on to me...

What the heck is going on at the 6th fret and why isn't there a 7th fret marker?
You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
Whilst you can only wonder why

Looks like a project guitar to me. IDK.

It looks like a SG that gave up.

My first thought was it was a split like a page in a magazine but its only on the neck and not the rest of the pic (from what I can see)

                        Odd.

Looks to me that the picture of the bass was cut out from somewhere and pasted together. I was trying to figure why so jagged around the edges and came to that conclusion..

Yup, the one actually holding the bass is Brinke Stevens. The reason the black stuff is so jagged is because I did it on my phone.
