    Default Orion on a 5 string short-scale

I haven’t played bass since ‘94, and recently decided to buy a bass. Using the EADGC tuning on a 5 string short-scale, can I hit the same notes as a 4 string with 24 frets? I’d like to relearn Metallica’s “Orion”.

I’m looking at this bass in particular:

    Thank you for any insight.

I think that should give you the highest note on a 25 fret 4 string.
