    Only 2?

Then I'd go for maximum quality and versatility

Xotic Oz Noy (Both a classic Xotic AC and RC in one pedal)

Strymon Riverside covers a lot of ground.

        A Boss Angry Driver.

Why? Because I'd have a Blues Driver which is my favorite dirt pedal ever, plus the Angry Charlie side which is totally different.
If that doesn't count as two, then I'd add a Zvex SHO. And before you argue it's a clean boost, it does get dirty on it's own when from 2 o' clock and up.
        Epiphone LP Standard PlusTop Pro
        Ibanez SZ320 / A8 DD103 bridge.
Ibanez RG270 / Screamin' Demon bridge.

        Egnater Tweaker 15 Head / Laney Cub 8 / 2x12 - Celestion V30+K100
Line 6 M13 and plenty of stompboxes I rarely use!

            I'll take two Boss SD-1s.

One to use as an excellent versatile overdrive that can get me a great sound with any amp. The other for hammering tent pegs into dry ground.

Technically speaking, on a desert island you are going to want pedals with AC -as how many batteries do you plan on bringing nd how long with they last?

With AC, you can Giligan Island with a jungle dynamo generator setup using waterfall, waves, trees in wind, exercise bike lol that naturally produces AC

                People -you gotta think harder!

Right now I'm thinking about a hotrodded Blues Driver/Tubescreamer combo. I've got quite a few potential mods lined up, but I'm also considering doing something less obvious, like maybe a Bluesbreaker/OCD combo.

                  What's your thoughts?
Interesting that distortions are not being considered since I consider the OCD a distortion because it has hard clipping.

I mostly meant to disclude over the top styles of distortion. This pedal is going to be a more subtle overdrive, but I have considered an OCD/Ratt combo in the past. I'll probably consider it again too.
You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
Whilst you can only wonder why

Fulltone pedals work really good with my equipment.
My set up would probably be:

                          Full Drive 2 ----> OCD ----> Amp
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
