They tried to negotiate a purchase of the company from Nic’s mom, but she didn’t want to sell. She also wanted to run it in a way they didn’t like. So they all left to make their own company. She sued saying that they can’t start a new company because anything they design would be her intellectual property. (Also with no one to run the company she was in a bind).
