  • Blackstar HT5-R Deluxe problem

Hi guys, i have used this amp frequently for a year without any problem. I have never changed tubes (Ruby are the originals). Today I opened the power, hear this crappy sound, and no signal at all.

I have never seen something like this before. Is the power tube. I don't had a spare valve to test so I ordered one and I'm awaiting.

Has any of you came across before with something like this?

Never experienced that exactly, but that tube is definitely shot. Can't say if it took anything else with it, but I would leave it off until I got a new tube.

      Yeah that ain't good

Is there one power tube and one preamp tube?
My Bugera is a copy of that one and it has two

Did it just one day start doing that
      Or did it suddenly start

It may have a bad solder connection on the tube socket that opens and closes as it heats up
      Making it pop like that

If a new tube does the same thing then stop immediately before damaging the tube,
      If ya can

Then flip the pan over and see if you can see anything that has turned blue with heat
      Swollen
      Busted
      Sploded

      Ya know the usual suspects

It may be in need of an amp doctor
