  • Juniors at Eastman booth

Oh, holy crap! Eastman debuted some new stuff - single cut and double cut Juniors with Lollar pickups. Totally sweet! I gotta get me a double cut.

They also have a black LP with staple P-90's, and over in the archtops - a Charlie Christian style in maple. Man - Eastman is bringing it!

Had I been there this year, I would plant myself in the booth for an hour or so. That's how I found the great Eastman I got, and I really dig the stuff they have been up to. Their finishes are great in a lo-fi way.

Well, they aren't slick plastic finishes. They use shellac, I think, like a violin. So they have some texture to them.

Ah. Some use an old school varnish. The antithesis of poly finishes.

That DC looks nice. Wish they were available in white.

Oh....my.....God. Those are gorgeous! Lollar pickups are incredible. I got a custom wound tapped P-90 from Jason back in 2011 for my SG Junior project guitar. Absolutely incredible.

There's always Precision Guitar Kits too. That's where I got my SG Junior from. He can paint it or have it painted any color he wants.

Eastman has a custom shop, FWIW. Haven't priced anything yet, though. I might just send them a quote request for the DC with a white nitro paint job.

That double cut on the front page of their site is outstanding...

Hopefully Gibson won't go after them, but I am pretty sure that will happen.
