It's definitely more useable than the previous models, but no for me.

I like when you dial the normal channel up but I like the gain channel on hot rod deluxe ok!
When I was young a shop owner told me about the hot rod deluxe I was demoing and he said nobody buys it cuz they think it doesn't look or sound like a Marshall but what you really need to do is close your eyes and listen to the sound and you'll see why it's a best seller for years and years.

It is a little boxy sounding for me, but I'd say that about the clean sounds, too.

They sound fine but they're far from being great.

I donít like dark and smooth. It doesnít cut through the band. If I want dark and smooth Iíll use the neck pickup with the tone turned down. Through my Marshall.

its not my favorite but its much better than people give it credit for. the speaker is the weakest part of that amp imo

I use a HRD on occasion when it's the best option on a Backline list.

I think they sound the best keeping them cleanish/crispy and driving them hard with an external pedal (usually I use a Klon or Xotic AC)

I really like those amps BTW

It's usable but not my favorite tone. Like the amps cleans a lot but find the crunches to be muddy and undefined.

    No.

None of the Fender amps with gain channels have EVER made me want to give up any of my Mesa amps.

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.
