Default FS: 1999 Washburn USA CTS

1999 USA Custom Shop Washburn Centurion CTS Custom Studio

    NOW ON REVERB

    https://reverb.com/item/32647528-was...9-cherry-pearl

    Mahogany body
Mahogany neck, rosewood board, jumbo frets
    24 3/4 scale
    Duncan P-Rails with Triple Shots
    Kluson Deluxe Locking Tuners
    Schaller Tune-O-Matic bridge
    Lightweight Aluminum tailpiece
    Washburn padded gigbag

Guessing this color was a special order as I can't find any record of this as a stock finish. Yeah it's a bit of an oddball but it rocks and the color is really pretty neat.

Plays and sounds really, really good. I just did a fret level and polish and full setup 10-46’s. The P-Rail/Triple Shot pickup combo gives you a slew of great tonal options.

Some small dings/chips, there is also light finish crack on the bottom edge that comes up the front a bit where the 2 piece body is seamed, like the finish shrunk into the seam. Honest playing wear for a 21 year old guitar but the finish still looks pretty sharp!

Washburn makes good stuff. Didn't Nuno play one of these for awhile?

Cool/odd guitars. I've secretly always wanted one since I played one back in '99 or so.

Is it possible that this is a refinish?

Doesn’t appear to be a refin but I guess anything is possible

Can’t seem to post the pic of the back of the headstock which still has the buzz fieten logo and s/n at the moment

The cavities don’t appear to be anything other than the original finish either

Seems to be the general consensus about them

I did some horse trading over the long weekend and ended up with it

I like it a lot but I am trying not to add to the collection right now

Yeah, likely the original finish then. Man, cool guitar a really great color for that particular body shape!

I'm in the same boat, though...trying not to add more to the collection, but so tempting.

Hopefully it moves soon. Truly a player's guitar. Good luck with the sale!

Oh, and for anyone considering this, there's a guy with a replacement truss cover on eBay: LINK

Good seller, gets parts straight from Washburn.
