The super champ x2 is not far off from pro Jr but more versatile
They both sound boxy when you crank them

that boxy sound isnt bad in a mix though, it cuts through without stepping all over other instruments and sounds good doin it

Under 500 preferably. I don't really want to lug around something too expensive.

Tiny Terror 112 combo hits the AC/DC and ZZ Top mid gain thing in a portable package for sure. They go used for $400 and under.

The tiny terror is a great amp but the combo is 37 lbs.

Thanks. I was unaware of that one. Looks like it'd be a good fit. There's lots of threads online saying the Monoprice 15W amp is the same amp but with different aesthetics (and also 25 lbs).

I'll keep an eye out for a used one, otherwise I'll try the Monoprice.
