I'm for P-90s, but minis are great also.

I wonder what that mini toggle does...

Am getting an ant mini neck locally from a buddy of mine... The neck of the honeyburst is a squealer as well, so this new pickup will be welcome. I'll use it in one of them... Still I love the tone of the original minis:

It’s to switch the mini pickups of course.

And the big switch throws a light that tells the waitress to bring another beer.

(Seriously I would guess the mini toggle is for phase. Splitting a mini pickup wouldn’t be that useful.)

Is your neck "squealer" wax potted?

Nope... I've dipped the mag and its cover into hot wax before closing it up, but did not help. This eliminated the squeal from the bridge, but not the neck. I suppose the coils are to blame and I did not wanna do a full wax potting. Instead, I thought I'd get me a new set of minis and keep the old ones as is you know.

                          Here is more info:

Wax on the mag won't help anything.

Nice guitar! I've had a Les Paul Deluxe in my collection for many years. I'm a big fan of the neck pickup sound.
