  • Stacked P-90 Split?

    Hi!
First post. Hope someone can help.

I’ve read where the Stacked P-90 is 4 wire for splitting capabilities, but I can’t find a review or clips on how they sound split.

    So I have 2 questions:

1 - How does the Stacked P-90 sound split?

2 - If I had the Neck & Bridge set, both split, played together, are the active coils RW/RP for hum cancellation?

    Thank you!

Stacked pickups sometimes sound a little louder split. Otherwise the same as far as tone. They won’t hum cancel when used together.

if the neck and bridge models are rw/rp (i dont know if they are or not) then they would be humcancelling when split

I would think that in order for a stacked P-90 to be noiseless, 1 of the 2 coils would be RW/RP to the other.
I was just hoping that when both are split, the bridge would be RW/RP to the neck as well, like if the bridge was stacked oppositely, if that makes sense.
