  • FS: Seymour Duncan JBJ

80’s JBJ for sale, you all know the one. Have photos, can send them to interested parties.

I bought this and got it a week ago. Great sounding pickup, just not for me. Selling same price I bought it for, $90USD including shipping.

    Thanks for looking.

I’m surprised, I thought this would generate more interest being what it is. Is it just a dead time on here?

I’d guess you’re pricing is a bit strong. A non MJ JB can be had for +\-$50.
Even though the MJ wind is more desirable I’m not sure it’s $90 desirable.
          Just my guess though.

Maybe however it’s $90 including shipping.

I might have to get this. I've been meaning to try an og 80s pickup. Does it sound different than a stock JB to you?

To be honest, I have no idea as last time I played a regular JB was more than 10 years ago. The pickup sounds great, definitely a lead pickup. If you want more information this is a good read.

For over four decades, the legendary JB Model has been the ultimate hot-rodded humbucker. A truly modern classic.

I've been through a few and I always thought the JBJ and the TB-4J sounded different/better. Anything MJ wound has always been a WIN in my guitars. That said; most all of my guitars sport Custom Shop RTM TB, earlier Evenly Voiced Harmonic or the renamed '78 TB or TB-4J Bridge humbuckers. Also had a Custom Shop 35th Anniversary JB TB that was one of the best JBs I have ever heard that I let get away.

Give it some time and someone will be looking for one. I would be interested if I had not grabbed another spare the last time Masta' C was selling a few.

I have a few of these lying around but if i didnt, i would jump on this in a heartbeat. Price is very good-these have been increasing in price/demand for the last few years now. Dont let people say your price is too high. A great buy IMO.

Thanks a lot. I’m debating possibly keeping it if it doesn’t sell. I only have one guitar, it’s all I need. If I had a second guitar this would be on there in a second.
As far the price, from looking around I think it’s a fair deal and I’m selling it for what I bought it for. Not looking for a profit.
