    Default Steel Panther pedal

So I have one of these, and at the end of the day, it’s a pretty good pedal. Has anybody else tried one?

Surprised by this response, I figured it would compliment your hair metal gig.

I didn't like the sound of it when i heard it. MY friedman BE-OD (see ... Browneye...) has me spoiled with super saturated subtlety.

Its too on the nose of a thing... I think its a little tacky. The concept model was so over the top that it was charming in its on way but the new one is a little meh with its theme.

That's funny because I consider Friedman's model names totally tacky to the point of disgusting. Brown Eye? Pink Taco?

Steel Panther. I have a line regarding the support of stupidity, especially when it involves expensiveness. They are wayyyyy over the line. They went full retard.

Yeah, those model names kinda confused me until I saw a video with him in it. Then they all made sense.

The most popular thread I've ever made was 1) a joke and 2) based around literally the most inane/mundane question I could think of. That says something about me, or all of you, or both.

I've been out of the scene for a while... My exposure to gear is rather random. Ola Englund and a couple Djent youtubers who aren't cringy AF. I had no idea about pink taco.. Yeah that's tacky... thats not even subtle. I retract my point.

To put it politely, I for one fully support Steel Panther and their middle fingers to the current degenerate culture of being perpetually offended.

I also fully support their stupidity... a person can't be serious all of the time. Nor should a band trying to push an outdated form of rock. Relax, have fun, party.

I know I have conflicting likes in this thread. I'm not sure how I feel about SP, in some ways the same way I feel about Friedman's amp names, tacky and juvenile, yet they sound good, but could I own one?

Russ, uhm, Satchel is a monster player, but the whole Panther schtick is a bit too over the top, and really, I'm not going to just sit around listen to their stuff, if I need an 80s fix, I have the real stuff, I buy it from a guy in the park.

But no, probably not going to have the pedal on my board for the church gigs I do now days.

In my pedalboard photo, I blurred the pedal out. I’m a little disappointed that I’m so wishy-washy on it. I think it’s funny, but it’s not that funny.

No shame. I have covered plenty of pedal names and logos over the years with tape just because I thought they were distracting. I still prefer a plain box most of the time.

Where is your line? is there an artist hovering at or over the line just a bit?

I don't view Steel Panther as a metal band but more a comedy act, so I think their satire is usually on point and funny.
