  • Any Mesa DC-2 users?

Seeing one at a decent price. Wanted to know any experience how you're using it. Thanks

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

Own a DC 5 head and a Subway Rocket from that era that are similar. Those are very versatile solidly built bullet proof reliable amps.

I have the DC-3 combo, and I love it! Has a V30 in it and I typically use it with a Mesa 112 EVM Thiele cab underneath. That rig will hang with a lot of half-stacks. The DC-2 has two EL-84s, the DC-3 has four. But the big advantage of the bigger amps in the DC Series is Graphic EQ. It gives tremendous control over shaping your tone.

These amps are small, but even though they are "practice amps" they are loaded with professional features and top quality.

      I say go for it!

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.

I've used them before, and they were the best-built small amps I've ever seen. They sound great too, for many different styles.
