NGD... of sorts.
---------------------------
The most popular thread I've ever made was 1) a joke and 2) based around literally the most inane/mundane question I could think of. That says something about me, or all of you, or both.

It's an Eastwood Airline, though I don't think they offer this color anymore
Starting out with Open G, because that's where the Hal Leonard book I bought starts (before moving on to Open D, A and E) but my real goal is C6.

Re: NGD... of sorts.
It's actually almost exactly the same shade as my St Vincent. Just a hair more green and maybe the tiniest bit lighter, but even only a foot apart, they look identical.

I was just looking at the Peavey electric steel. I really am not a slide player, and even less of a steel player, but I love the way they sound with a great player.Administrator of the SDUGF

It's not my favorite, but something like this sure is tasty.

Re: NGD... of sorts.
Update: my wife and I can both play the Hal Leonard arrangement of "Midnight Special." Badly.
I've also moved on to shaky renditions of Go Tell It On the Mountain and Amazing Grace. Just got to the page about using your trailing fingers to grab the strings and bend them and HOLY CRAP I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT WAS A THING. And it's in the beginner book? I'm suddenly regretting getting heavy strings.---------------------------
