    Default Blackstar Fly 3

So I ordered the Bluetooth version of this amp, the power supply, and the extension cabinet all based on word of mouth around here and some video reviews and demos.

I think you'll like it. I modded mine (I don't have the Bluetooth mode) I changed the speaker to a more efficient 3 inch Neodymium magnet speaker and I mounted a set of Schaller strap lock buttons on the cab of the amp in case I'd like tower my amp while playing guitar.

I have the regular version and love it. I travel for work so this is the perfect hotel room practice amp. I use it to play along with my singer who plays acoustic as well for campfire outdoor patio type stuff. I even use it just as a speaker to play music with the mini jack line in. Love it!

Mine doesn't have Bluetooth, but I was impressed what the tiny box can do... and the batteries last pretty well in there.

I’m looking forward to hearing what this little amp can do. It’s going to be a stack with the extension cabinet.

My Blackstar stuff came in. While I don’t prefer it over my larger amplifiers, it is a pretty cool little amp. I had to crank the clean channel a bit to hear it over the acoustic output of my hollowbody jazz guitar. No hum or buzz. In no time I had the Bluetooth connection set up and was streaming that Smiths song from iTunes on my phone.

I’ve used this amp a few times, and as a Bluetooth speaker it’s pretty decent. It beats the stereo speakers on my phone — just the thing to enhance the sound on a YouToube video when I don’t want to find it on Roku and play it on my living room media system.

Apparently NiMH rechargeable batteries are recommended for use with this amp. I ordered a charger and two dozen batteries from Amazon. I’ll report back on how it works out.

The NiMH rechargeable batteries worked well. I got an EBL charger and batteries from Amazon.

Hmm since its Bluetooth, that means one could leave it clean as a PA and use Amplitube or some other software emulation on a phone or iPad and pipe the sound into the amp. If so, GAS is rising...

I once found a guitar amp in the garbage, a Peavey Studio 110. It caught fire at the first gig I played it at.. But it was at the end of it, thank god.

One thing about Bluetooth with that amp is that the only volume control you have over the Bluetooth signal is on the device that’s sending it. It actually makes sense, I think, to keep it separate from the guitar controls, but it might be a nasty surprise for someone who’s not expecting it.
