    Maybe there's something to that actually (a larger scratch or bounce plan), and maybe that's the live bass and the retrack would be moved to 22,33 -because I've been in hundreds of professional 24 track analog sessions with some of the biggest rock artists (I was a pee on -so don't get too excited) and I've never seen many producers or engineers put final bass or bass drum or heavy organ anywhere but towards the tape edges to be safe... but you can see they did leave 1 and 24 for color tracks or SMPTE Timecode tracks -so it's clear they had a technique or plan.
