  • HSH Strat wiring 2 volumes no tone 5-way lever switch

    Hi

Have anybody tried such config in Strat? On SD site I have found a schem, but only with one volume. Would anyone rearrange it for two volumes (bridge, middle&neck) please? Would be very grateful, thanks in advance

Thinking about it, if you took the regular strat diagram and looked at the way the 2 tone pots were connected (on the other side of the switch) you might have some luck with that approach. Wire the 'tone' pots as volume pots, add in a bridge between lugs for neck and middle and I think that would work.
The side that the pickups attach to would just run out to the jack

Thanks for the reply. In the meantime I have just started to wonder if such wiring is possible at all . I have working SD diagram for HH config with 2 volumes and no tone, but with 3 way lever switch. Wonder how to implement additional middle pickup and 5-way lever switch to it. Here it is:

Well, that will work if you want to have volumes only on 2 of the 3 pickups.

For the 5 way, just take the switch lug setup of your first diagram as the template for wiring......output to jack afterwards.

Well, I would like to have volumes for all 3 pickups, but in arrangement for 2 pots only: bridge and middle/neck. Would like to avoid separate volumes for all three pickups.

So you go back to the arrangement in my first post.

Here's my suggestion which may be similar to what Alex had in mind.

                Sort of.
My idea was simply to hook up the 5 way exactly the same way a SSS strat does. But the 2 tone pots are now volume pots, and the pickup hot side of the switch goes to the jack.

Thanks guys! As I'm not technically skilled too much I wouldn't manage without Your

As soon as I get new soldering tips for my soldering iron I'll try Your ideas.

                  Thanks again and best regards
