  • Details on a Duncan Designed SC-7N 7-string Single Coil???

Hey all! So I have seen these and known about them for a while now. But the thing that has always bewildered me with them is that they're not wired like a traditional single coil is or would be... I see they have a 4-wire lead to them like a humbucker does, instead of the traditional 2-wire lead...

Can anyone give me some better specifics into this pickup, and how they have it wired for the 4-wire lead? Is this a stacked single coil? Who knows the real scoop into and behind this kinda odd-ball pickup? I am gonna pick one up and eventually get it rewound for a future project.

    Thanks, and stay safe everyone

Check this out, although it doesn't give much info on that pickup.

Curious as well... wondering if it's any good - as-is, or even to get rewound, or don't bother wasting the money on one...
