So my guitar has a varitone, which I either use bypassed or as a cool pseudo-split and pseudo-boost, it works well.
But I was reading around the web, readying for chaging the pickups, and I've seen many mention that varitone guitars have the pickups wired out of phase, even implying it's needed for correct functioning.
Is it necessary at all? Can I just wire the new pickups in phase, and still use the varitone?
If not maybe I'll use the hole for some switch to split, as the new pickups will be humbuckers...
