  • New Song I Recorded

    Well, I don't know if you could call it a song....lol. I just had this riff thing in my head, so I hit the record button, added a couple of other chords, and then kind of had an idea of what I was going for. This is what it ended up as. I may put a solo in it, but I don't really think it needs one at the moment.

    So, I take it you are down for the riff off?

    I'd hope so... that was slick.
    I think I took a wrong turn in Albuquerque...

      The Sarzo brothers called, and they’re jealous.

      Nice work Jolly

        Gong = WIN!

        Break it down brocephus. Guitar, pups, amp, fx.

        Very Dokken-esque, but darker. I love the dissonance on that 2nd chord.

              Thanks everyone!! I haven't heard about a riff off, but sure, I'm in. As far as gear; Charvel San Dimas Style 2 with Duncan AHB-1 Blackouts into a Fractal AX8 using the Friedman Brown Eye Model with a touch of reverb and chorus and a 4x12 G12T75 cabinet IR. The bass is a Spector Legend 4 Classic into a Tech21 DP-3X Doug Pinnick Pedal. The drums are me tapping in realtime on the Boss DR-770 with the drum kit that I created about 20 years ago....lol

                    "Because he is John J. Jolley, and we aren't"

                    I don't believe I have ever heard anything of his that wasn't somewhere between awesome, and better than awesome, even if he was just picking around...

                      Awesome, Jolly!

                      I can't wait until I can "join the club" and start recording myself.

                      You're truly an inspiration.

                        Such classic, old-school metal. Audio Track 01 is the best song title I think I've ever heard.

                          Not even close to the Big J's best work....But even his worst is pretty good.

                              Well, it was either that or Queensryche-ish. So I changed it to 62020, the date I recorded it on.
