    Thanks to all !

    Please help to ID this fuzz tone.

    It was a homemade fuzz:

    “I played a Fender Telecaster through a Fender tube amp. A friend custom
    built the fuzz box, just a small something or other, into the body of the guitar with a switch. I didn't slit the speakers. I fingerpicked and used lots of reverb.
    There really wasn't much else done in the mix.”

    That was always one of my favorite fuzz sounds.

    It sounds like a Jordan Bosstone fuzz. When I started playing guitar a friend had one and a Jordan amp.

    The Electro Harmonix Satisfaction is a Jordan Bosstone clone with the clipping diodes removed.

    EHX leaves the pads empty for you to mod it yourself.

        Ah... fuzz...

        I really need to invest in a fuzz; every time I hear one, I feel that I *need* one;
        And that my life would have been a better life, if I had used a fuzz for all my living years .

        I want the EHX "Octavix"- i just saw one used for cheap;
        but right then I didn't have the money.

        Fuzz on!
        If somethings important- send a PM. I might be offline for long periods. Rock on!!!

            Is there anything on-line that provides sound samples for mods? I'm interested in experimenting with different capacitor values, and diode combos....
