Appears Jackson has come out with a recreation of the Jackson Steve Vai used in the movie The Crossroads

Jackson has just announced the cuttin' heads guitar that Steve Vai wielded during the duel in the 1986 classic film Crossroads. Time to play with the devil!

It looks like a Charvel, but I can see the appeal. I didn't like the movie although I like Steve Vai's playing at the time.

Yes, Carvin hate is fake news; Here is the Devil's real guitar player and his cutting contest entry:

Too lazy to look it up, but wasn't it Ry Cooder who played Macchio's parts?

The guitar is "nice", but kinda ordinary at the same time.

Yeah Ry played Ralph's parts except the Pagini, that was played by Steve.

I remember learning Steve's shred parts a long time ago. I never thought Ry's parts were a good example of great blues playing although he is capable of it, it is just the movie didn't showcase it.

I remember reading an interview with Steve Vai where he remarked about having to go back and re-record some of his parts because he didn't kick his own butt badly enough

Which is why many people play electric guitars but very very few of them are actually musicians.
