  • Good pickups for a "cruiser, by Crafter". guitar?

    It's H-s-H config-

with a maple/rosewood neck, unknown body material.

I want this to complement the Epiphone Wildkat, that's my main guitar.

I'm wondering if to go "all the way" and install EMG actives, or GFS actives-

maybe some Duncans. (I apologize, but their prices in Norway- you can get a new guitar for the price of one!! pickup...)

or try to keep it more moderate...

What would you do, with this "bargain" axe?

Unsure about what the bridge is like. My father wants to give it to me. I asked him to send pics of the bridge- not recieved yet.

(would rock to have a tremolo bridge )

If you select some Duncans from the Trading Post, are they still high? In other words, are there import duties and stuff?

If you get the guitar from your dad, try it out before worrying about changing the pickups, they may be to your liking.

What kind of music do you want to play on that guitar?

                Hehe. no worries.

I'm sorry though, for writing on the SDUGF, that I might be installing GFS actives into it .

I'd use that guitar for heavy rock/metal- and all kind of "tremolo bridge arm" stuff, that I can't do, on my TOM Epiphone.

Yeah, sure. I don't have the economy either- to start swapping stuff around

I have a stock pickup in my Ibanez that Im not a huge fan of but its not so bad that I will be replacing it, never know the pick ups in that guitar may be to your liking.

We talk about GFS all the time. I love my Dream 180 and my Dream 90's.

I'll check out, and play the guitar (if i get it, as my father promised)-

but I'm intrigued about the "active pickups" idea...and the GFS are cheapest ...
