  • 1978 Fender Ash Telecaster with 5-2 Jerry Donahue Pickup set

1978 Fender Ash Telecaster loaded with Seymour Duncan 5-2 Jerry Donahue Set.

Its nice and snappy with a rounder smoother attack. Especially in the bridge position. No ice pic tele tones here.

Hope the vid gives you and idea of the sound and tone of this wonderful pickup.

To me, on paper, the Jerry Donahue set looks like the perfect Tele set of pickups.

Hey Jolly! Yeah they are great especially if you got a really snappy tele. In my ash in was a little dark in the neck.
        Great sounding bridge pickup tho.
I went and swapped this set for a Texas special. Right amount of warmth and snap for my 1978 ash

          Beautiful.

I was playing my homemade telecaster this week, and ran into an hour or so where, just like in your video, everything sounded so lovely, like I couldn't get a bad tone out of it.

Telecasters really have something special. Those pickups (and your playing and touch) sound better than good.

Unfortunately, every time I try to play the video, it says "an error occurred".
