  • Anyone else like plain old shredding?

    Right, here's what I mean
    I've been reading through a lot of this forum and melody seems to be a very important factor to most of you (as it should be), but, I ain't really like that. Does anyone else just like to hear people playing amazingly hard licks really fast for 20 minutes?
    That's why I love guitar you know.
    So if anyone has any clips of themselves shredding like crazy, It would be really cool if you could post them here.

    Thanks

      Re: Anyone else like plain old shredding?

      I like all kinds of guitar playing, depending on the mood I'm in.
      I can enjoy Larry Carlton and Lee Ritenour getting down, or Buddy Guy,
      and then also, some Satch or Micheal Angelo. Again, it just depends on my mood.

      But I particularly like "homegrown" stuff. Hearing a few forum bro's hammering out
      some licks would be very fun to listen to.

        most of the stuff i do would be considered shred. i do add melody and flavor if possible.

              True, EVH was over rated, but fierce arguements develop over that statement as I found out many a time!
              Tremonti ain't that bad, I like his playing on Weathered.
              And I used to own an RG 2570, it's ok!

                    nuntius=shred!

                    lastwinj, that was totally insane! It was the perfect blend of slower melody with intensive shredding. Man, you are good.

                    Sorry, I guess I fall under that category of slower playing style. I'm trying to learn some shred though. I've got the "Technical Difficulties" solo down so far (that's a Racer-X song in case you didn't know that already ), but I got a long way to go to bust out my own shreddage
