  • The SD Forum Special 10.0K Bridge Bucker Offer POLL OPEN!

Proposed enrollment period is Jan 1st thru Jan 10th.

    SPECIFICATIONS:

    Normal Spacing
Double Cream/Nickel Cover (by one fraking vote)
    4 Wire
    10K
    Short Legs
    With Logo
    wax potted completely
    unbalanced, scatterwound
    Dunaged A5 Mag

    ================================================== ===============

Agreeing on specs will be a challenge, but here goes.

We will approach this as a "special" forum-only order. MJ will wind up the same exact pup X times. Minimum order is 10. They have to all be either A5 or A2. All scatterwind or not. All same resistance. same bottom plate, same cosmetics, same cable. $100 a piece.

So, if we can agree on this, she'll whip up a tray of 10 or more.

One major caveat... You have to agree not to sell it UNUSED EVER. Your pup cannot show up as a new, unused pup on ebay next month. Selling it to another forum bro for the same price would be okay as long as that person agreed not to flip it as a new pup.

    No 21 day exchange.

    Can we all agree?

Now you know what it's like to be a dealer requesting something special.

Running total... once we agreeon specs.

Donzo told me last night that an A2 @ 10k might get muddy. He suggested a slightly degussed A5.

I wonder which one jeremy has?

If it winds up being an A5 4-conductor, either black/black or chrome cover, I'd be on board.

cosmetics will probably be tough. buut a majority consensus with a cover would take care everyone perhaps

i'm guessing 4-wire is easy to agree to.

Probably in, depending on exact specifics... I wanna at least try this, even if itŽs a duck....IŽll probably end up using it as a neck pickup anyway, though, so avoiding a trembucker format might be nice... preferable would be black or nickle/chrome covered + 4 conductor.

Get a set of precise specs, and IŽll either be yay or nay

I suppose if it ends up being a zebra or something I could cover it myself, but I'd hang myself if I wound up ruining it that way.

How would payment go when ordering one from Europe? I could be interested, although it's a "could". I'd also like a matching neck pup, but I guess that's kind of taking this thing too far!

I'm good on all the caveats about not selling it, etc. Not an issue.

I'll let those who have more knowledge about plates/wire gauges, etc throw out thier ideas on that (As I understand at a certain point one needs to go from 42 to 43 in order to keep from the bobbins being overfilled?)

As for what *I* would ask for:

                    Bridge pup

                    A5 (but I'm OK w/ A2 if that's the general concensus)

Max 10K wind for me. low 9s are better, but I'm good anywhere up to 10K

                    Scatterwound/uneven winds.

                    Prefer wax potting.

Basically 9-10K 59 contruction wise (wood spacers, 2 conductor braid, etc) with uneven winds.

Zebra, Double Cream or Nickel Cover for cosmetics.

EDIT: 4 conductor is fine too.

Remember, it's just a plank of wood. YOU have to find the music in it - The Telecaster Handbook

Well, if we had 10 tray of neck pups as well... 9.0 K?

Worldwide shouldn't be a problem. We could use a paypal account at $103 to cover fees. Not sure about shipping, I'll check.

I should also mention that there is absolutely no way I'll have the cash for this until mid Jan, what with the holidays and all. I'm sure many people interested in this opportunity are in the same boat.

I'd be in for 1 zebra w/ cover. I'd settle for any color as long as it's covered.

                            Magnet is a non-issue.

I'd prefer mis-matched coils but I won't cry too much if it's not.

Let's make this happen. Time to open our wallets as much as our mouths.
