  • Where to get pedalboard carpet?

I'm building up a DIY pedal pedalboard and Home Depot, to my surprise, didn't have suitable carpet for what I needed to do. You guys know of anyplace to get good pedalboard carpet? I found some black and grey stuff on www.mojotone.com, will that work?

Are you talking about the kind that velcro sticks too?

      Yessir!

I have one of these... ( http://www.coffincase.com/products/images/bk110.jpg ) but the loop side of the velcro isn't very thick at all (it's closer to velvet) and it doesnt grip pedals that well. I need something fuzzier.

It's called Ozite, but I don't know where to get it.

Go to a carpet store and tell 'em what you're looking for. Velcro sticks to commercial grade carpet really well.

Most times they'll have scraps like 2'x2' or 2x'3' that they'll just give to you or maybe charge $5-10 bucks or so.

Yep. We just expect everything to be handed to us on a digital, unregulated, porno-laden platter.

I was actually looking for the internet source to see if they sold SPECIFIC pedalboard supplies but thats cool. I'll stop by one on my way home from work.

Check with any place that sells carpet covered speaker cabs. Also, if you call up NYC PEdal boards I woudl bet that they would sell you some of the carpet and maybe other supplies you needed...they are really good guys!

Yeah well...'ya gotta love the porno! LOL

Anytime I see "specific" supplies for music or acoustics products they're always about 5 times more expensive then the "regular" version so I always look for the regular grade materials.

I've heard a lot of good things about 3m hook and loop material. You might want to check that out too . . .
