  • Stock american strat

Here is a clip of me playing my stock american strat I got last month. Right now its my fav to play sound wise.

I recorded it with my GNX3. I would like to get the same type of tone with a bit more on the bottom in a humbucker for my wolf but not sure what pup to get. I'm going to be getting a Pearly Gates TB to try out in the wolf. I am thinking a pup with a A2 mag will get me closest to the singing tone with good note articulation that I'm looking for. So let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions please.

Wait, it is a humbucker im hearing right? I got confused after you went off on your Wolf...But my ears say humbucking

sounds good either way; impressive for stock

How much you pay for that sucker???

Nope thats a single coil, Stock Fender American Strat I'm playing on that clip. And thanks *grin*

I got it right before they started with the rebates, if I had waited a month I would have gotten it cheaper.

OH!!! are u serious??? It sounds like a humbucker! didn't think single coils had that much growl to em... I didn't hear any noise u get with single coil. The neck sounded like a single coil. What amp werer u using? Pedals?

anyways, right now im not sure what i want anymore... I dont kno if i want a single coil tone or humbucking... its hard i hate being confused

I was using my Digitech GNX3 with the built in 8 track recorder to do up the clip.

Sounds like a good strat, the playing does not hurt either

I have to admit I'm impressed with the stock tone and the current wiring/ switching
