    Re: Yamaha AES720?

The entire AES series of axes is steller. I think out of all the single-cut guitars out there, maybe save the PRS Singlecut, the Yamaha's are in the running.

I used to own an AES620 in Quilt Blue and it played beautiful. The neck was a bit too baseball bat thick for my liking though it sounded great, the taper on the knobs was huge, and the stock Yamaha neck pickup was the bee's knees!

Sweet guitars, I wouldn't pass up on 'em if you aren't bothered by the thick neck.

Yep, Yamaha makes some really nice and underrated guitars, the AES series is pretty great. Some of the best "bang for the buck" guitars out there, period.

I have an old AES 500 that rips and I hear that the new AES series got better. Mine is so worn in, it's the only one of my axes that needs a refret.
          Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.
