So I was gifted this MIJ thing and just got done cleaning it up and bringing it back up to snuff.
1988 Washburn B-10 Force ABT.
So I have no idea how it works, but it's active with a push pull to make it passive. Also has a stereo jack. It's incredibly convenient and I'm loving how it sounds, I'm going from P to J to MM tones, going from punk to funk to metal to jazz with no effort.
It had 32 year old strings on it when it was given to me, and what looked to be pretty much 0 fret wear so all I did was polish them. Aside from a couple minor dings and a handful of micro scratches that I could buff out, it seems to be like new. I'm not even getting static in the pots, it's like somebody bought it and just stuffed it in a closet for 30 years. I threw some stainless roundwounds on it and it sings, I was expecting it to be a dud or to sound like utter crap and it blew me away.
