  • Two phat cat neck pickups

I ended up with an extra phat cat neck, gold. How would a neck sound in the bridge? I have a chrome bridge phat cat, and was just going to use one chrome and one gold, but it would look better with two gold. The specs on the SD site look very similar, with just a smidgen more output in the bridge.

It would work, they're not very different in output. You could also change the covers.

'Neck' and 'Bridge' are just terms, not rules. I bet it would sound just fine.

I couldn't find a phat cat cover, maybe from the custom shop?

I'd just call Seymour Duncan directly, and ask if they will sell it to you.

The neck Phat Cat in the bridge position will have a bit less output and sound a bit brighter than the bridge model.
