Re: How to cover up holes on a Strat pickguard.
I opened for Skrew in Ohio around 1995. All of their guitars (3 Les Pauls if I remember correctly) had open holes where unnecessary things like neck pickups, pickup switches, and associated knobs would normally be. At least one of them did not even have the backing plates. The light shined through the holes. I was in awe of their awe-inspiring awesomeness.
Cliffenstein, I forgot to tell you I checked out some of your music on YouTube and really dug it.
B2D: nice tip, although black would practically disappear. Ehd is right, you can get the same plugs in black at AutoZone-type stores.

B2D you know they make those plugs in black? You can also find them in chrome sometimes
I've also printed up little stickers that look like the Fender knobs and put them over the holeMy Bands -

To cover up holes I just use chewed gum:
Peppermint for white pickguard,
Blackjack for black guards,
Bubblegum for tortoise guards.Originally Posted by IanBallard
