Pop is acceptable, although I consider this more much more rock than pop.

By the way, you had the second-highest overall compatibility score (80%).

Awesome job, Keith -- thanks, so much! Honestly, I don't think anyone should be surprised with the Top 10, although I was occasionally surprised by the remainder of the listing. Interesting...

      My votes were:

Aw, crap! I deleted the PM! Oh, well... a lot of mine made it

I think I had 8 out of 10 that made the 100 and at least 4 that made the top 10 -- I think.
I started out with nothing...and I still have most of it left.

BTW, the forum mods should probably archive this, that's a lot of work to have vanish in the midst of all the threads in the forum.... just my opinion, please don't ban me...

I haven't posted the compatibility ratings yet, since I'm working on a program that I hope to display the ratings in a more interesting way than just as a straight two-column chart.

                    Your rating is 4%.

When Bludave PM'd me his picks, he added a description of each album and why it made its way to his individual Top 10 list. I asked him if I could post what he sent, because I like what he had to say. He obliged, so here it is:

                          1. Electric Ladyland (Jimi Hendrix) An absolute Masterpiece. Everything about this album makes it special. The songwriting, the recording techniques, Jimi's playing & singing, as well as all the "guests" on it. It is by far my favorite album of all time. All of Jimi's other albums (Experience, Axis: Bold as Love, Band of Gypsys as well as a few others) deserve honorable mention. Band of Gypsys has the greatest live guitar solo ever (Machine Gun). All others are great as well but not quite as important as Electric Ladyland

                          2. Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (Derek & The Dominoes) Probably one of the greatest albums recorded in the 70's. This album was released in October of 1970. Little Wing was added after Eric had heard the news that Jimi died. With Duane and Eric playing some amazing guitar and Eric being tormented by Drugs as well a being madly in love with a close friends wife (George Harrison). This made for some amazing emotions that filtered through in all of the musicians involved playing.

                          3. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (The Beatles) The most important record of the 60's. Absolutely changed the way people thought of the Beatles & every song was dynamite. I think it also changed the way all others entered the studio after it.

                          4. Frostbite (Albert Collins) One of my favorite blues albums ever. Albert Collins does things with his guitar on many of the tunes on this record that are just uncanny. He is truly one of my favorite Blues players ever.

                          5. The Wall (Pink Floyd) Great album. Roger Waters presented the concept of the Wall & The Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking to the band. They elected to go with the Wall because they felt that that Pros & Cons was too close to Waters real life (He later recorded this with Eric Clapton) The Wall is just an all around great record.

                          6. Live in Cook County Jail (B.B. King) There is something about the way he sang and played on this record that I really like. He has so many great albums, so it is hard to pick one. I also like Live @ the Regal a lot.

                          7. Led Zeppelin (Led Zeppelin) Obviously this is also a very important record. I really don't consider myself a Zep fan, but this record was special. The attitude was very raw.

                          8. Disraeli Gears (Cream) Its not my favorite Cream album, but it is certainly a great example of how Eric developed from the Beano album. I really wanted to add the Beano album here. Seeing that it was the first time anyone had plugged a Les Paul into a Marshall and needless to say Eric's playing was legendary. I just feel that the whole album was not that great, This one was produced, recorded and executed better.

                          9. At the Fillmore (The Allman Brothers Band) This was a magical night. the band was working so well together and they played until the wee hours of the morning feeding off of the crowds energy. Remember the line in Whipping Post? "play all night"....... they did!

                          10. Texas Flood (Stevie Ray Vaughan) Do I really need to explain this? SRV came on the scene and devoured everything in his path.. His tone was just so uncanny on this record even though his playing was some what crude yet ferocious at the same time. I think he is one of the few that truly understood Hendrix. and it was evident on this record more than then others that followed!
