$100 Must Have- Digitech RP360!

I have to say, the Digitech RP360 is the best value in used multi effects pedals. You need one of these, whether as a primary or a backup. For about $100 used, you get a very capable, good sounding effects & modeling pedal that has an integral drum machine and 40 second looper. With metal housing, it's built to last. Where else can you get these capabilities for $100? Plus the free Nexus software for your laptop allows you to setup your chain of amps & effects on your computer. A well thought out product. A word of advice on presets... Never judge a modeler on presets. You will read guys with the best modelers, Helix, Axe FX, Headrush, etc all say the factory presets we're mediocre. Presets are created by software engineers! You have to create your own presets and tweak!! Never judge a unit on presets!! One man's heaven is another man's hell. Below is a link to a clip where he has programmed his presets and it sounds really good, esp for $100! Everyone needs one of these whether for bar gigs, practice at home (a drum machine really stokes the creativity), or a backup in your gig bag, the RP360/RP360XP for about $100 is a steal! You don't need to pay a ton for good sounds. Good luck.

If its anything like the gsp1101 I’m sure it’s good! The rack mount does great Marshall tones.

The fact digital gear doesn’t hold its value is a blessing and a curse. More so a blessing IMO.

I have always said that nearly any of these things since ~2k or so has the ability to craft at least GOOD sounds if you learn to do it and take a little time.

That said, it's no RP200A - LOL!

I just want to say how annoying it is that they didn’t make a version of this like the RP1000 with 4CM or at least firmware update the RP1000 to have some of the features of this RP360. Soundcheck would have been an awesome thing to have.

Are the models the same as the 1000? (which was supposed to be Digitech’s flagship at the time.) I still use mine because it’s still very powerful for routing. I can use 4CM for amp tone, put in a preamp or pedal preamp, the effects still hold up amazingly (including the definitive model of the whammy) but again the 360 has it beat that you can use more of them and change the order! I can get some perfectly useable sounds out of some of the amp models but it doesn’t hold up as a replacement for a whole rig, the cabs aren’t great and don’t compare to IRs.

The GSP that it’s essentially the floor version of lets you load your own impulses (but I hear you only get so many milliseconds of them and not the full convolution) so that’s another thing they should have included or patched in and the lack of MIDI control is a missed opportunity, which the GSP had and it’s older!

I prefer the way the 360 looks too! Why did Digitech stop keeping up with this line? I would totally get one if it had the 4CM routing the 1000 does.
