125.00 got me some huge sound today.....

Just came home with this, extremely clean and has the original EV in it. The sound with my new Bassman head is simply fantastic, was not looking for an 18 cab, but at 125.00 there was really no choice. I figure it is pretty much only used for bass, but man does my Tele love it. It is the definition of the 'ROUND SOUND' Absolutely huge sound!!

Actually it is full but with great clarity. Lotta chime on the top end. The front mounted speaker keeps all the mud away and that EV just sits perfectly for the guitar.

man i'd love to run my dual recto through that and my 4x12 at the same time hehehehe that would be some evil CHUNK lol! very cool cab, nice score!

i never knew you had an bassman head, i have the matching 2x12 cab for that from the late 70s or early 80s with no real use for it due to my amps and playing style and it's too damn big to consider shipping anywhere....too bad you're not closer.

I've got an old Music Man 4x12 that looks like that. Well, looked like that. The logos have gone missing and it has an American Flag over the grill (part of a band theme I was in some 10-12 years ago). Thought about selling it but don't know if I can. I really like the sound of it.

I didn't realize it would have a stock EV, but that's the best part. I wonder why more guitar companies don't use 15's? 18's are probably best suited to bass, but 15's should be in a lot more guitar amps. I'm sure your tele's single coils sound a mile wide with that 18" though!

I just got the Bassman, man that cab would be very cool. But shipping is a nightmare for the big stuff.....

I gigged it last night and a friend who has seen us a ton told me it was the best I ever sounded last night. Not knowing I had the new cab in play, it is not that different from a 15, but the resonance of that cabs build is spectacular. Really big, but not too thick. I gotta get a good 15 for a PV cab I just found for 50.00/ The cab sounds just great.

The sound is great. Rated at 130 watts, 8 ohm load. It didn't come with casters originally, just rubber feet.

Wicked. Big speakers = Fun. I imagine that even though a 18 is meant for bass that it would sound wicked with singles. Now I am gassing for a 2x15.......

I would snatch up an old PV ( 80s) 2/15 easily had for under 200.00. I have a 1/15 cab I just got ( 50.00), really nice big sounding cab I just need to get a nice 15 speaker and I will have a killer cab on the cheap.
