1958 RI (R8) reissue Les Paul

It absolutley pains me to sell this guitar, but I need to pay down some more debt. It's a 2005 58 RI LP in Iced Tea burst finish. This guitar is a bit of a player with the following issues: some worming on the back (buckle rash), ding on bottom (next to the strap button, see pic), ding on back (below the electronics cover, see pic), there are some normal pick marks on the guitar and a scratch on the head stock (looks like the previous owner "slipped" while changing the D string).

Now the good stuff. The bridge pup was changed to a Duncan custom shop "EVH" pup. The guitar sounds amazing and feels even better. I've owned my share of guitars over the years and this one is easily in my top 5 for tone. I'm only selling it because I've come to prefer the slight longer scale that my PRS's have.

Would this be one of the "Plain Tops" with a Brilzilian Fingerboard by any chance? Lew

Sorry Lew.....this does not have a Brazliian board. Thy've become VERY collectable and would add about $1500 to my price

Lew.....the latest Brazilain board Historic Ihave come across was a 2003. Not sure how much of a difference it makes soundwise on a fretboard. The Indian rosewood on my R9 could almost pass for ebony. The wood on the R7 is rather light.

The total lack of crazy grain and figuring makes that one of the prettiest Les Pauls I've ever seen!
