For your consideration...
I have a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe. This was built in the historic 225 Parsons St, Kalamazoo, Michigan factory.
I bought this as a husk with a broken headstock. There was not 1 screw or piece of plastic or one piece of metal on this guitar when i bought it. The headstock repair was a little bit more than i could handle, so I took it to North Coast Guitars in Grand Rapids, MI and had Russ do the headstock repair, finishing and aging... and a refret and new bone nut. He did a spectacular job and now this Kalamazoo classic is ready to rock again!!!! The headstock break is practically invisible.
The 3 piece maple neck is a medium C carve not super slim. It weighs 9 lbs, 3 oz.
I used all top shelf parts to revive this Les Paul...

CTS long shaft 500k pots
Russian paper in oil caps
Kluson double ring vintage style tuners
Switchcraft toggle and jack
Gibson truss rod cover, knobs and poker chip
Gibson hard case
This Les Paul plays and sounds amazing! It's in great shape for a 43-year-old guitar. The original finish is still glossy and has plenty of natural weather checking. The Lollars are a great match for this guitar...great rock and blues tones!
