1979 fender stratocaster 25th anniversary: need a pickguard

been a while since i posted guys. i started my bastard anniversary stratocaster surf project. i ran across a problem, the pickguard i bought is the wrong size. i dont know what era they covered for that guitar, i know it needs to be a 1 ply and 11 holes. thats about it. any help is appreciated.

I got a friend that has one of these that got drowned , I should go see if I can steal it.

I really dug the Anniversary ones, the silver/black combo just looked perfect to me. THen when I got to play a real one, it weighed like 12 pounds, literally heavier than the LP-Custom I played just before (both at a store) How heavy is yours? And the "golded" finish looks awesome.

Present day quality control on Fender scratchplates is rather better than it was in 1978/9.

If the problem is that the plastic butts up tightly against either the neck heel or the edge of the vibrato bridge, the solution is to scrape away material until things bloody well do fit.
