I found one of those for sale localy for $395. How do these amps sound? I know it is one of the Riveraa designed models, is the clean channel like that of a Super Reverb? How is the drive channel?

I know nothing about these so any help an info is totally welcome! Clips anywhere?

The Super 60 is not one of the Rivera designed models. The Rivera Fenders are the Deluxe Reverb II, Concert II, Champ II, Twin Reverb II and the mighty Super Champ. I believe the Super 60 was post Rivera years, and not generally regarded as one of Fender's best eras. I wouldn't be too confident of an 80's Super 60 being a fantastic amp.

Cheers.....................wahwah

I've messed around a bit w/one some time ago. I never have liked Fender OD, but I recall the clean channel being pretty decent.

I think $395 is a bit steep, though. There was one in my area a few months back for a bit above $200, which I think is more in line w/what I'd be willing to pay for that particular model.

i've had extensive use with one of these, and its not too impressive of an amp. Clean channel sounds good, but doesnt get very loud and breaks up fairly easily. Overdrive channel is powerful, but lacks some dynamics

I used to have a Super 60. Here's my review. $395 Way to much! I payed $433 for mine in 88' (these are not collectible) The plastic input jacks a plagued with problems. The reverb is weak. The clean channel is nice and sparkly clean but lacks body,It's thin and non dimensional. The gain channel is usable,But put the gain knob anywhere past 12:00 and your in 80's buzzland distortion. the most annoying thing is the clean and drive channels share the same EQ, But are voiced totally different? So when you switch channels you need to re- EQ?

yea i agree on all points. Though i will say the contour (or whatever its labeled) knob is kind of cool. It basically just sweeps through frequencies of the overdrive channel, making it sound more round and fuzzy, or clear and cutting.
