I've got a pair of these... I have seen some crazy asking prices for them online. Like a grand for a trio...
I'm not into that... What should I realistically ask for these? For a pair? Together start them at $400? ($200 each)????
Where is third one? I don't know... I do remember owning the guitar. A Traditional Two Tone Sunburst.
And I remember why I sold it... The string tension was really high... I use 011's I could only put .009's on this guitar.
But, I do not remember changing out the PU's... I really don't. This was 1991... when I sold it, I believe.
This gives me an excuse to tell a story... LOL FWIW
I was back stage at the W.C Handy Awards in Memphis in 89' or 90'
I had the great privilege of meeting Willie Dixon that night... who was sitting back stage.
I was standing there with Duke Robillard and Bonnie Raitt... Willie Dixon was the great equalizer.
Well, This Fender 1982, 57' RI was the guitar I had with me that night.
I had Duke Robillard autograph on the back... (I didn't ask Willie Dixon for that)
Anyway... if you happen to own a 1982 Fender 57 RI with Duke's autograph on the back...
It's been in the company of Blues Legends...
Anyway... Thanks for letting tell my brush with greatness story... LOL
Any ideas on the pickups would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guy's...
