Just pulled this out after not playin for it months (changed jobs twice and moved twice this year, so things have been a little crazy) and was very pleased to find it was still setup and in tune perfectly. Super low action, sounds awesome and still 100% stock (except for the case that my dad gave away with another Charvel he sold.) it's very special to me because my dad ordered this guitar brand new from a music store in Kansas City in the 80's, recorded an album with it and later gave it to me a couple of years ago.
The guitar itself is 100% stock and only has 3 micro Knicks total (one unfortunately came from the last guitar shop I took to have it set up--they knicked the headstock near the nut, but it's very small.) This guitar made me a fan of Super Strats and was a special gift from my dad (who taught me how to play.)
Anyone else have any cool 80's Charvel stories?
