1987 Heritage H357 Firebird done up in Pelham Blue....this is the RARE OF THE RARE in Heritage History!!!!
This guitar has been confirmed by the factory as THE PROTOTYPE for this model! (see picture of the original factory log) The P stamped on the back of the headstock under the serial number, indicates that it is a Heritage Prototype.
These original run 357s, along with the original run H150s were the driving force of a Gibson lawsuit imposed on Heritage in the late 80s. There were forced to slightly change the designs on these 2 models after that. The H357 is one of the rarest Heritages out there, especially in Pelham blue.
Heritage prototypes were never supposed to leave the factory! This guitar found it way to Virginia, where I purchased it from the previous owner.
This H357 is neck thru construction. The center block is a mahogany/maple/mahogany sandwich. Mahogany wings. Rosewood fretboard.
The H357s came with humbuckers from the factory, not mini humms.
This prototype has a couple modifications from the stock configuration....I HAVE ALL THE ORIGIANL PART TO PUT IT BACK FOR FACTORY STOCK INCLUDED IN THE SALE. The bridge and tailpiece are Tone Pros. The pickups are a custom wound Alnico II wound by Connor Baldacci. The pots are CTS 500k with orange drop caps. ORIGINAL PICKUPS, BRIDGE/POSTS, TAILPIECE/POSTS AND POTS ARE INCLUDED!!!
This guitar has a medium/chunky neck. It has a great, low action.
This guitar has been played but not abused. THERE ARE NO CRACKS BREAKS OR REPAIRS.
This is your chance to own a part of Kalamazoo guitar history! Built at the historic 225 Parsons st Plant, its a guitar that will continue to increase in value over the years!
Feel free to PM me with questions....more photos available upon request.
$2750 plus $85 shipping....FIRM.....NO TRADES please
Thanks for looking!
