Beautiful, toneful Gibson Les Paul Standard!

In the early to mid-90's Gibson re-introduced their iconic Les Paul Standard modeled after a 1959 Les Paul. Some would argue a second golden age of Gibson emerged.

For a fraction of the cost of an R9 Les Paul, I offer my Gibson Les Paul Standard Plaintop Tobacco Burst.

1959 Rounded Neck Profile (much fuller than their Slim Taper)

Comes with a non-OEM hardshell case.

This guitar does have a repaired headstock or else I'd ask for a lot more. Its a players guitar, so it has some wear, but rather great shape for a nearly 20 year old guitar.

Does anyone here know what's up with the painted heel area? Was it done to hide multi-piece heels? I have only found one other pic like it online, on a '95 Standard.

I've seen them like that. My '75 Special Reissue was shaded like this guitar. Painter's choice.

I had a couple older Deluxes that had that as well. I just assumed that it was simply to mimic the burst on the front.
