This is a Jimmy Vaughan body (according to previous owner) with a 1998 MIM neck. I looked under the pickguard and in the neck pocket to find any writing or marks that would confirm or deny the Vaughan body....i couldn't find any.

It has the Fender TEX MEX pickups on a W/B/W pickguard. Back plate and trem bar are included.

This guitar is really clean. Just one minor ding inside the lower cutaway. There used to be a sticker of a naked woman on the back, which i removed. It left a very slight color difference, which is very hard to see...i tried to capture it in the pics.

I just did a complete setup with a new set of 10-46 strings. The frets show very minor wear...still 90% life left.

It has a great spanky tone and plays great!!!

I wasn't aware of this....it was just brought to my attention that the JV bodies came with a single ply 8 hole guard. This body has an 11 hole guard now....but upon further investigation, it reveals the original holes which would have fit the 8 hole guard.

So it IS a JV body

if the guard was changed, was anything else? stock wiring would have no tone on the middle pup and tex-mex pups
