1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard DC.

Great Maple Top.

I had it plek'd at The Music Gallery last year.
Had a new bone nut put on a few months ago.

The PUs are Gibson 498T & 490R.
These are 4-conductor versions and I have them wired to Seymour Duncan Triple Shot mounting rings for every splitting option available.
Also series/parallel switching.
I think there's 21 different combinations.

Has an RS wiring kit with 500k super volume pot & 500k tone pot.
50s wiring.

Used but not abused.
Shows typical use wear.
Gold is wearing off of the tuners, bridge & tailpiece.

I bought this from a fellow forum member at The Gear Page and it was my main gigging guitar for almost a year but ever since I got my SG this one has been sitting under the bed.

This guitar plays & sounds GREAT. Very versatile.
Fat Les Paul tones with Fenderish tones also available.
Very lightweight with great upper fret access.
24 frets.

I've heard people describe these as having a 60s slim neck profile but this one has more of a medium neck. If it had a 60s neck I wouldn't be getting rid of it.

Includes non-original SKB hardshell case.

$1000 Shipped & PayPal'd.
Will consider trades for a slim neck 61 SG Reissue or a Splawn Street Rod.

I think I just came a little in my shorts. Hot damn, I want that guitar.

Interested in Gibsons only, or would an MIJ Fujigen JDM Epi Les Paul SG interest you? (It's the one on the left.) They're better guitars than present-day Gibsons in many ways (IMHO), and they are hard to find already imported to the U.S. Neck is a slim C that is very fast. Frets are in great shape.

Thanks for the offer but probably only interested in Gibsons.
That late 60s SG in the middle looks awsome.
Whose signature is on it?
I played a 68 SG exclusively from around 83-1990.

Thanks. It's a '68, bought used by my dad in around '75, then passed down to me. The signature is Mick Taylor's. The gold one is wiping off, but he also signed it in black down by the controls. I'd like to get it signed by Robbie Krieger as well one day.

Those MIJ Epis are great guitars. Nothing like the MIK or MIC ones. Let me know if you reconsider doing a partial trade.

Very tempting, these are great guitars and don't see them that often any more. They were Gibson's attempted offering to the PRS market but never caught on. Let me ponder this. Having just bought a '78 SG and '78 LPC in the past couple weeks, I'm in a bad spot with the wife for a while, but I'm tempted.

Got any pics of the back?

Thing is, I'm totally not into the pickups or rings, those would have to go.

I'm currently away from the guitar but I'll take some pics of the back tomorrow night when I get home.
Pretty sure I still have the original PU rings somewhere.
I could sell it for less with stock PU rings & no PUs.

I found some videos that I had made.

Jump to 2:18 in the first one to hear some Fender tones from a Les Paul

Pics of the back as requested.
Has more worming than I remembered and a couple of bumps on the back of the neck so I'm dropping the price to $1100 shipped & PayPal'd.
